DEFTAC KRAV MAGA
*Adult Class (age 16 and over)*
DEFTAC is short for Defensive Tactics. This is a term commonly used in security - law enforcement - military. South West Sydney Defensive Tactics Studio was later changed to DEFTAC Studios.
Krav Maga comes from the Hebrew word and translates to "Contact Combat". At the end of World War II, Krav Maga was developed by Imi Lichtenfeld which combined techniques from Aikido, Wrestling, Boxing, Judo and Karate to create a direct, efficient and pragmatic approach to modern warfare for the Israeli Defence Force. Known for it's real world unarmed defensive applications in modern military combat, Krav Maga has been adopted by armed forces and law enforcement agencies worldwide. With Krav Maga's rising popularity, Krav Maga was later modified for the civilian population.
